Hi, I’m Brodie. A 23-year-old underwater photographer. I spent my early years in Ulladulla, a small coastal town on the South Coast of Australia, where my connection to the ocean began before I could even walk. Surrounded by the pristine waters of the South Coast, my passion for the ocean and underwater photography grew rapidly.

My work is driven by a desire to showcase the beauty of the underwater world while capturing the unique stories that exist.​For me, every image has a story to tell. Through my photography, I aim to share the ocean’s beauty and create a deeper appreciation for the world beneath the surface through a single moment in time.Travelling across the world, I capture and showcase the beauty of our oceans in ways that make my imagery truly unique. From coming face-to-face with Tiger Sharks to capturing mating chains of manta rays on Western Australia’s NingalooReef, my work offers an intimate glimpse into some of the ocean’s most extraordinary moments and I hope people can have the same level of appreciation as me for the ocean when they get to see my work.​ A defining element of my photography is the way I capture these encounters.

Almost every image is taken on a single breath while free-diving, without scuba equipment. This connection allows me to immerse myself in the environment, creating images that feel both authentic and deeply personal and nearly all my marine encounters are super engaged and surreal.​I have also worked on underwater photography projects with organisations including Australian Geographic, Greenpeace and Sony, among others. While projects like these have helped me build my reputation, I am also heavily involved in selling prints online, in stores and at markets throughout the South Coast.
